emergency relief fund

Created in 2023, the Emergency Relief Fund is a non-endowed Fund established specifically for receiving donations from generous people like you to restore/enhance the social infrastructure, and undertake charitable programs and activities that provide immediate or ongoing support to people affected by climate events or other natural disasters in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo.

Grants to charities may include programs such as wildfire prevention and recovery efforts; flood prevention and recovery efforts; or other needs as determined through community consultations.
