Fred Arbter Memorial Award

Fred Arbter was a successful businessman who began his career as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. He applied his trade throughout Alberta and in the Northwest Territories. Later, he diversified and became the owner and operator of a siding company in Edmonton. Fred embraced change and loved a challenge. He inevitably found one upon moving to Fort McMurray. There he began to build houses under the name of his newly founded company, Kamberley Construction. Throughout his time in Fort McMurray, Fred mentored and helped many people, especially those he met on the job. He liked to see others succeed and it is for this reason that the family has established the Fred Arbter Memorial Award as a means of continuing to pay it forward in his honour.
