On Thursday June 8, WBCF in partnership with Community Foundations of Canada will announce the recipients of the Canada’s 150 Fund grants to our community. Four projects will receive a total of $37,000 which is very exciting for our inaugural grant announcement upon joining this great movement of community foundations. Come back on June 9, 2017 to learn who the hard-working not-for- profit organizations are who are the beneficiaries of the Canada 150th Fund to celebrate the inclusion and diversity of our region. We are very excited to be part of the community foundations movement and demonstrate how powerful this is going to be our Wood Buffalo.

The Wood Buffalo Community Foundation is planning to raise an estimated amount of $1,000,000 this year on fundraising campaigns. It will cost our organization an estimate of $120,000 to raise this. The money raised will be going to benefit communities within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo by encouraging, supporting, and building healthy, vibrant, sustainable and inclusive communities;.
